In the past, the question has often been asked, “what doctrine do you go by?” Our doctrine will always be the word of God. We believe and operate according to God’s word.
It is important to have a core set of beliefs. It is important for Christians to know the core beliefs of churches and ministries they deal with in order to be blessed by organizations that hold true to the word of God and to avoid any organization which corrupts, dilutes, or rejects God’s word.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”-- John 14:6
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, -- Romans 3:23
Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin. – Romans 4:7-8
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. – Romans 5:12
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. – 1 John 1:8-10
It is not something we have to earn or can earn. And as is true with any other gift; it is really only a gift when we choose to receive it. Even though our Lord died for our salvation, we still must choose to receive that gift and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Many will NOT enter into heaven because they have NOT received and accepted Jesus/Yeshua as their Lord and Savior.
For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. – Ephesians 2:8-9
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9-13
Next Steps
You may never have asked Jesus (Yeshua) to become your Lord and Savior. You may have never dedicated your life to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob but you are experiencing an empty, even lost feeling and know in your heart that you want to follow Him.
If this is you, then we invite you to ask Jesus into your heart to become the Lord and Savior of your life.
Do this by speaking the following prayer out loud:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus.
Your word says, ”The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37 NKJV). I know You take me in and won’t cast me out; and I thank you for that.
You said in Your word, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13 NKJV). I am calling on Your Name, and I know You have saved me.
You also said, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10). I believe in my heart Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach) is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead that I would be made legally righteous in God’s eyes, and I choose to confess Him as my Lord.
Because Your word says that “with the heart one believes unto righteousness”—and I do believe with my heart—I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). I am now saved!
Thank you, Lord!
Congratulations and welcome to the family of God! As your life becomes fully alive in our Messiah, may your new journey be exciting, blessed, and filled with the glory of God!
We would love to hear from you if you made the decision to receive Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, and how we might be able to make a difference in your life as your new brothers and sisters in Christ!
Many scripture passages speak of something called repentance. What is repentance? Repentance comes down to “turning away from the direction you were going (man’s ways), and returning to God and His ways!” That is true repentance - learning to live a lifestyle according to God’s wonderful instructions. That is the path to experiencing God’s amazing promises for your life.
